Minor shelf/edge wear to black cloth boards with white spine titles - corners lightly bumped. Front and rear cover have a photo illustration of a boxing ring from above the ring. Minor shelf/edge wear,one small chip and a few closed tears to original unclipped DJ - now in mylar. Rear panel has photo of Author shaking hands with Joe Lewis. No precvious owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked. 23 chapters, 3 appendices and index. With 44 illustrations covering boxing from the Ancient Greeks to Joe Lewis. A very handsome First Edition in the original DJ.LOC SSE-03
