First issue; one of 250 (of 350 total) in white boards (this regular issue also in blue boards which are regarded as second issue) with blue-green dust jacket. Poet's first book. Inscribed in full to Berkeley librarian and book dealer Al[l]an Covici on title page. Worn at head and crown and bottom tips, else fine and bright in a dust jacket with moderate chipping on lower border, beginning to separate at spine folds, with several tape repairs on verso. Overall about very good, interior fine. Bertholf A1a.
