Publisher's original red cloth, with spine stamped in gilt; in its original blue dust jacket, with two overlapping circles to front panel, lettered in red and white, jacket designed by John Woodcock. About fine, with a small bookseller sticker to front pastedown and a touch of offsetting to endpapers; near fine unclipped dust jacket, with light wear to head of spine, light toning to spine and edges of rear panel, and a small closed tear to bottom edge of front panel. Overall, a tight and fresh copy. '"Heaven & Hell" is a companion volume to Huxley's landmark essay, "The Doors of Perception." In "Heaven & Hell," Huxley continues his discussion on psychedelic drugs, which he claims take the experimenter to "an unexplored New World of the mind" (jacket flap).
