Ivan Doig, Spokane, 12, March, 1994." This book was signed to the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association (PNBA) on the occasion of Doig winning its award in 1994. Doig, who lived in Montana and later Seattle, remains one of the Northwest's most standout and beloved writers. He won a PNBA seven times ("one more time"), his penultimate for Heart Earth. A fantastic copy in pristine, unread shape.

Rural Hours (formerly Wood + River = Books, est. 2019) specializes in ecology, natural history, nature writing, the environment, environmental literature, and contemporary essay, with a special passion for association copies and notable inscriptions.
