A bill (S. 5603) for the preservation of historic and prehistoric ruins, monuments, archaeological objects, and other antiquities, and to prevent their counterfeiting. Testimony then follows from a large number of scholars and scientists concerning the preservation and protection of the prehistoric ruins. The Appendix contains the full text of the proposed legislation, and includes an extensive bibliography. Beginning on page 34 is the full text of H.R. 15986, Fifty-eighth Congress, Third session, A BILL creating the Mesa Verde National Park.
