The delightful surrealistic fantasy comic novel about 92-year-old Marian Leatherby and her fellow "inmates" at the nursing home, written by British-born Mexican artist, Leonora Carrington. With illustrations by her son, Pablo Weisz-Carrington. Published by the famous City Lights Bookstore in San Francisco, founded in 1953, which has published works by famous authors such as the Beat Generation authors, Charles Bukowski, Paul Bowles, Sam Shepherd, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Andre Breton, and others. Scarce edition.
