Spine sun-faded and lightly bumped at ends, cloth wearing through. Front corners bumped, cloth worn. Boards mottled and worn. Previous owner's name and later gift inscription on front free endpaper. Pages tanning. Internally neat and clean. No dust jacket. 8vo. Novel set in pre-war Europe examining the relationships between the different social classes of English society, through the story of Lord Coombe, a selfish young woman with the face of an angel and her young daughter. A heavy volume which may incur an additional charge for overseas delivery.
