As New and Unread in a bright pictorial dust jacket with a wraparound detail from Bruegel's painting 'The Harvesters.' Signed by the poet on the half-title page (and also warmly inscribed in a neat hand by a previous owner on the FFEP). Collects sixteen new poems by Meredith, all centered on the "life and character of a fictitious painter named Hazard." (from the front flap) N. B. With few exceptions (always identified), we only stock books in exceptional condition, with dust jackets carefully preserved in archival, removable mylar sleeves.
