A Popular Edition of this travel work by explorer Isabella L. Bird. Isabella. L. Bird was a nineteenth century British explorer, naturalist and writer and was the first woman to be elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. This volume contains Bird's recordings and letters from her time exploring the Islands of Hawaii. With a folding map of The Hawaiian Archipelago, a frontispiece and other illustrations throughout the text. Collated, complete. With two pages of advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, lovely. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with some light scattered spots throughout. Very Good Indeed
