Orange-coloured publisher’s cloth, woodcut illust. front cover of elephant, woodcut-engraved endpapers (minor shelfwear, rubbing to couple corners), w/ d.j. wraparound cover art by Charles Buckles Falls (1874-1960), noted WWI poster artist (minor chipping & sunning to spine, edgewear, small closed tears, old tape repairs), still VG/G- copy. First edition, stated, of this jungle adventure set in the Jungle Reserves of Kakanakote and The Closed Jungle of Mysore, whose Rajah had contributed elephants to the author’s travels in writing of the book.
