About This Item
Harvard Athletic Association. Cambridge, Mass. 1929. First Edition., 1929 Illustrated white wraps. Front cover maroon images of a Harvard football player bursting into action surrounded by images of four sports and the Harvard Stadium. 24 pages. 4to. This is the Athletic Association magazine issued for some 15 weeks each year covering all of the various Harvard sports and doubling as the Football Program--this week's game was Bates vs Harvard (In case you are interested Harvard won 48-0). The center two pages list all the players and their statistics for both teams. The following page shows the 12 most important penalties and the referee signals for each (Amazingly to me one of the penalties resulted in loss of ball). Mostly about football the magazine also covered Baseball, Cross Country, Soccer, Track, Crew, Lacrosse, Fencing. Also quite a few ads with one showing the well dressed young man in his raccoon coat smoking a cigarette. These old football programs are quite scarce today. Light general wear most noticeable as spine rubbing. VERY GOOD- Language: eng Language: eng 0.0 Language: eng Language: eng Language: eng. 1st Edition.. Soft cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
