NY: R.R. Bowker, 1941. First. Hard Cover. Limited to 750 copies only. Green cloth, xvii +142 pps. with index to titles, chronology. Illustrated. Foreword by Franklin P. Adams. An appreciation of late 19th century boy's adventure series author Harry Castlemon. Includes two short articles by Castlemon, an interview and an essay, followed by a bibliography for all of 16 his series, non-series titles and periodical appearances. Castlemon created such series as The Gun-Boat Series, The Rocky Mountain Series, Boy Teapper, Rod and Gun, House-Boat, Afloat and Ashore etc. A fine, tight copy, spine lettering a bit dulled. No jacket.
