The sculpture is signed and numbered by Harold Von Schmidt . The book has a red cloth and quarter leather binding; slipcase in matching cloth. Book is signed by Harold Von Schmidt and Walt Reed and numbered 88/104. Prospectus is laid in. Sculpture and slipcase are in fine condition; front board has minor soiling, else very good. This impressive book received the Western Heritage award for the best Western art book of 1972. It is filled with 220 illustrations, 50 in color; it not only traces the life story of Von Schmidt, but also traces the development of the American West in word and picture. A great limited edition with accompanying bronze sculpture. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 230 pp; Signed by Author & Illustrator .
