Chicago: The Reilly & Lee Co., 1928. Dark blue hardcover binding with guilt title - uniform with other books of verse by this author/publisher. Clean square and tight. Dustjacket has some chips and rubbing along edges - small pieces missing top and bottom of spine. 185 pages plus index of first lines. $1000 prize title for the author's 9th book was won by Rev. M.S. Rice, a pastor at the Metropolitan Methodist Episcopal church of Detroit. Dr. Rice's letter which accompanied his title suggestion read: Harbor Lights of Home because Edgar Guest, in his verse, has set more safe signals for the home, in these home-needy days of ours, than any other writer among us.. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair.
