About This Item
A postcard home, presumably from a British army officer home. With a handwritten poem signed in initials "G.C" (?), dated Sriracha (sic. - presumable Si Racha, Thailand) 15th November 1934.
The image appears to be a photograph rather than a postcard with silvery reflections. Condition: Corners with bumps and some creases, top left corner with some torn loss.
The Poem:
"The Sun setting over Kohsichang peacefully lighting Life's little barque, over a silvery way,
But soon to sink and hurry on. Brightening another world beyond.
On its way back to wake another dawn and greet another morn.
Roseate hued - strength renewed, courage endued to win another day.
In Gods own way for me and you."
