Condition: Good, with light shelfwear to covers and some bumping to cloth of head and tail of spine.Light foxing to endpapers and occasionally within book. Binding sound, text clean, no inscriptions. The front pastedown has a bookplate bearing the motto "tuta latebris nullis fraus". 247pp. No illustrations. This book was the last in a series of botanical handbooks written by J.G.Baker, then the keeper of the herbarium of the Royal Gardens, Kew. In the nomenclature and circumscription of the genera, he follows Bentham and Hooker's "General Plantarum" with very slight exception. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
