"The only modern English version of this ancient text. The text deals with a little-known system of magick called Enchiridion. Learn how to call on Angelic forces from this powerful text."

This is a book of magical Grimoire, Ancient Magic, and a compendium of the Occult Arts. The grimoires attributed to Honorius the Magus, such as "The Sworn Book of Honorius," emerged during the medieval period, likely around the 13th century. The publisher of this book states that this is the very first translation into English, making it even rarer in the occult literature market. They don't make them this good anymore, and they never will. I would snag this one before it's gone.

"This handbook was written in the Middle Ages by one Honorius the Magus and transcribed by several monastic scribes over a period of several subsequent years. It was handwritten in Latin, conserving the practices of this kind of Magick, even though some parts were lost to deterioration and the passing of time. It cannot be too specifically dated because of what may have been lost from those times in which the Holy Inquisition was in operation against such writings, and often, these kinds of works had to be disguised or kept secret to avoid the persecutions of those burning days. And, it must be remembered that often, such writings were intended as handbooks for those who would follow, or come to follow, such a Master's Magick. In the case of this Enchiridion, it may well be supposed that it was written for just such a purpose as an instruction to other Masters and those who followed the kind of Magick outlined in the handbook. Honorius was a figure in history who was surrounded by mystery, and various theories exist as to his real identity. Again, much needed to be done to disguise this work or the identities of those who wrote or practiced what the Church so militantly condemned in the times. He has been described as a Magus of the Middle Ages, a Gnostic follower, and even suspected to be Pope Honorius IlI, one Cencio Savelli, who died in 1227. This fact would have had to be very deeply disguised, for the Pope of the Church would certainly have been even more harshly condemned as a heretic than any common Magus would. The original manuscripts seem to have come from a later period than the times of this Pope, so there is some doubt if he was the one and same Magus, Honorius. But, the transcriptions, done by several monastic scribes, would point in the direction of even a possible later writing down of the Pope's original book on Magick. It is surely ecclesiastical writing, on a very high order. Since an actual Grimoire has been attributed to Pope Honorius himself, it is not beyond the realm of probability, given the circumstances of the times, that he could have been both the Pope and Magus Honorius. Again, it must be remembered that much was taken for granted with these kinds of writings, and the basic information given was supplemented by the general knowledge that the apprentices and Masters knew among themselves. In this context, such information is presented to be so regarded by the reader. Filling in the blanks must be at one's discretion, interpretation, and risk, as with all older writings, Grimoires, etc. This is the context in which the handbook's information is next provided to the reader."

"Under the contact with the spirit, Angel Hocroel, and through his counsel, Honorius would write seven volumes on the principles of the art of magic, giving the council the crux of the values, but to others only that which was meaningless. Of these vast volumes, one book of 93 chapters contained the effects of the art of magic and is the handbook now presented. It contained 100 sacred names of God and many holy things, which Hocroel showed to Honorius, and the book was said to have been consecrated by God."

"The genuine books had never gotten into their hands, and it was safeguarded by an oath taken among the magicians for this book: that it never be turned over to any except when a master would be in danger of death; that only three copies of it be made."

The overall condition of this book is excellent, especially for being 32 years old. It has some light shelf wear and average age but is in the finest condition I have ever seen.

"There are three kinds of Angels who are heavenly, of the air, and the Earth; of the celestial kind, there are two, the kind which serve God alone, and the kind which serve Him, but who also will answer to men. Those that serve God only are called the Cheraphim and the Seraphim and represent the thrones, dominions, virtues, principles, and potatoes in the realm of the archangels and angels of God. No artificial forces can
restrain them because they are never divided from the divine."

Handwritten initially in Latin. The Society is the first to translate this magical text into regular English for modern occult students. This text deals with the little-known form of magick called Enchiridion. The author is considered the actual Pope Honorius, the famous sorcerer Pope of the Middle Ages. It is filled with rare and ancient information never seen Before. The information in this book was said to come directly from God. Many ancient names of Angels are given along with other rituals of power. Learn The Seal of God • Prayers of Power • Prayers to God for help, and more. A fascinating system of Middle age Christian magical system. It is a rare chance to see what the Magick of the Middles was really like.

"IN THE TRUE LIVING GOD'S NAME OF THE ALPHA AND OMEGA, THE FATHER, SON, AND THE HOLY GHOST, THREE PERSONS IN ONE GOD, LIFE GIVER AND DESTROYER OF DEATH, DO WE BEGIN THIS BOOK."

"One who would engage in the calling of the angels, whose names and offices follow in this book, as servants or familiars, must be able to impose upon them by name and be able to engage them with clarity in order to be observed to have the capacity to be their master. Now, know that these spirits become visible in the air and thus remain rarefied in form and appearance. Air is a corruptable, delicate, and fluid element which, if a suitable perfume be set to fire, can receive the qualities and forms of spirits that will then become visible for the magician to see. Also, these are spirits to whom perfume, which is in accord with their nature, is an appropriate gift. Now, the text states that to receive with approval the oath that they may require, they are capable of performing either good or evil according to the will of he who calls them. They reign harmoniously with the air, assuming qualities and form clearly and visibly."

Much of the text of this book was derived centuries ago, so it is important to remember that the times in which it was written are very different from those of our own. It will contain context, beliefs, and verbiage that is not customary in the 21st century. There is much to be learned from the past to progress in the future.
