About This Item
Amsterdam: De Maatschappij voor Goede en Goedkoope Lectuur, n.d. (1915?). Hardcover. Very Good. Decorative paper over boards (printed in orange and green), white cloth backstrip lettered in dark green; two volumes, 12mo; pp. [4], iv, 83; [4], iv, 76. Book design by A. C. Berlage. Library records indicate a publication date of 1915, and locate 5 copies worldwide. Bindings just a bit shelf-worn overall, with some fading to the spine lettering and light chipping at the corners. One instance of marginalia -- a previous owner's careful attempt at a stenography lesson, in purple ink. A handsome set. And uncommon.
