Illustrated endpapers by Picart. Slight staining on bottom edge. D/j has crack at back. Overall in good condition. Dr. Yosef Hayim Yerushalmi held the Salo Wittmayer Baron chair of Jewish history at Columbia University. He specialized in Sephardic Diaspora history, authoring From Spanish Court to Italian Ghetto; Isaac Cardoso: A Study in Seventeenth-Century Marranism and Jewish Apologetics. In addition he wrote such works as Zakhor: Jewish History and Jewish Memory and Freud's Moses: Judaism Terminable and Interminable.
