Signed Limited Edition, No.42 of 45 bound by the Fine Book Bindery, Wellingborough. 15.2 x 24 cm,1/4 black cloth with textured cloth boards and gilt titles to the spine, viii, 581pp with 3 maps and a full-page black and white illustration at the head of each of its 9 sections contained within its original black solander box. Signed by the author and containing an etching and aquatint on moulin du gue by Oona Grimes, a folded map of Hackney and one holograph postcard with original text by the author. A fine book with all its accompanying ephemera in a fine box. The author's unique and detailed look at his home borough, its origins as an 'arcadian suburb and subsequent decline into a zone of asylums, hospitals and dirty industry'.
