Following a tortuous journey to the ruins of Babylon and the secret temple at Memphis, al Azred began worshipping the dark gods, 'Cthiullu' and 'Yoxodo,' and performing black magic. He was said to have lived for ten years in Belet el Jin, know as the forbidden city of the Devil.. In the 'Necronomicon,' al Azred dubbed it the 'City of Evil.' He performed his rituals there and became familiar with evil spirits. It was in the ;City of Evil; that he discovered obscure, frightful mysteries about a prehistoric race order than mankind itself. In 738 A.D., Abdhul al Azred died a horrible death. Witnesses reported that, in the broad daylight of central Sannah, he was torn to pieces by invisible claws."

CONDITION: Overall near fine. Excellent large art folio book displaying swiss artist H. R. Giger's early work, The world of Giger is quite intentionally the world of nightmares, with Freudian symbolism, decay, and perverse sexuality.
