At the beginning of the work is a foldout, also in fine condition, with text and pictures that present some high points in Chittenden's career as historician. This is a deluxe edition of which only 100 copies were printed and which this is number 79 with the signature of Bruce LeRoy under the number. The contents consist of a foreword, six chapters, with chapter six being personal notes-an unfinished autobiography, and four appendices. There is a frontispiece of Hiram Martin Chittenden and twelve other pages of illustrations. We have placed the volume itself in a clear archival quality Brodart protective cover. This work is truly a keepsake for the centuries, and it is my hope that once it leaves my care, that this work of Western Americana will be preserved for posterity. The work is housed in a slipcase which is in good condition with wear at the head and tail of the slipcase and along the edges of the slipcase. Available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box!
