From the collection of novelist William Hjortsberg, who worked as a screenwriter in Hollywood between 1977-1985. Hjortsberg is best known for the film adaptation of "Angel Heart" (1987), based on his 1978 novel.
A newly separated hunting guide attempts to reconcile with his wife and family while facing the decline of his career.
Gray titled wrappers. Title page present, dated October 2, 1999, noted as SHOOTING DRAFT, with credits for screenwriter Michael Hacker. 77 leaves, with last page of text numbered 76. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, with a small splash on the bottom left corner of the front wrapper, bound with three gold brads.
