About This Item
No Place: No publisher. Unbound. Good. Group of Six Black and White photos of African Americans. All measure 4 by 6 inches, with 5 of the 6 adhered to an old photo album leaf. One detached from the leaf. No dates or places, although based on the bobby sock style, perhaps 1950s. Four of the photos depict a group of four or five young Black women walking down a street and in a park like area. Several young Black men are also gathered in the background of some of the photos. Overall, these appear to be taken in a social setting of some sort. One photo features a young Black woman posed, and another features a young couple, perhaps at a soda fountain type shop, sitting in a booth, with a table jukebox visible. In the background is a framed ad for orange-pineapple from Swift's Ice Cream. The young man appears to be wearing a Navy uniform. All in GOOD only condition, with minor to moderate creasing, wrinkling and soiling. All adhered pretty firmly to the album page, which is itself very worn.
