New York: Hodder and Stoughton Original slate blue cloth stamped in black and lettered in gold. Colored end-papers. Illustrated with 23 magnificent tipped-in color plates by Noel Pocock. The first American edition of this printing with these illustrations. Front hinge cracked and rear hinge broken. Half-title foxed and nearly detached, and cloth faded at backstrip and worn through at lower fore-edge corner of front board. Internally a nice clean copy, all illustrations present and in very good condition. Overall a good copy of a book usually prone to problems.. First Thus. Cloth. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Noel Pocock. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
