Illustrated throughout with color drawings by Nick Bantock, along with facsimile correspondence housed within affixed envelopes. Endpaper maps. Bound in slate-gray and red paper-covered boards with titles printed on front board and spine. In the dust jacket with $16.95 price intact on the front flap. Inscribed on the title page by Nick Bantock to the longtime manager of Seattle's University Book Store: "For -- --, Nick Bantock" First printing of the first edition of Bantock's surprise 1991 bestseller, followed the next year by Sabine's Notebook. Both books have clever design: interspersed throughout are removable facsimiles of letters exchanged by the characters, contained within envelopes mounted on pages. All letters and notes accounted for. A handsome copy with dust jacket now preserved in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
