About This Item

New York City: Henry Harrison, Publisher, 1926 Dark olive-green cloth; black title and spine lettering. This work is a series of nine multi-verse poems. Wood (1888 -1950) was an American writer, lawyer, teacher and political activist. Born in Alabama and eventually becoming a lawyer and magistrate, Wood eventually bought a one-way ticket to New York City and settled in Greenwich Village. Very light rubbing to cover extremities. Tiny prior owner name in pencil at upper front endpaper. Otherwise clean, tight, and unworn in an intact but worn Art Deco dust jacket illustrated by Herbert E. Fouts. Small chips and tears at dust jacket spine and corners.
