CONTAINING A COMPENDIUM OF HERBAL LORE DATING BACK OVER 1450 YEARS

A stunning book that traces herbalism and botany back to their origins. Dating back to the 6th century, this monumental book encompasses some of the oldest known histories of herbalism and its literature throughout the centuries. Before listing this book, I checked every major online book site for another and could not trace any offered at this time; needless to say, it's a very hard-to-come-by book. This book pulls from the ancient and magical herbs and plants that the witches have used for various purposes throughout time as well as herbal lore, magic, and so much more. It contains some of the oldest known manuscripts ever printed on herbs & botany. This is one powerful book for anyone who loves witchcraft, botany, and herbalism. Examines the mythology of herbs, the history of their use, their culinary, cosmetic, and medicinal value, and the lives of several herbalists. An exceptionally scarce edition; I would snag this one before someone else does...

"Rowan Tree and red thread put the witches to their speed."

The overall condition of this book is very good despite being over 80 years old. It has some average age and shelf wear but has been marvelously well-kept. The lovely covers and spine still display bright colors and crisp details. The binding is solid, and everything is holding very well. There is some natural age-toning to the pages. For a book that is now 83 years old, it's in very good condition.
