Original DJ in good condition with edge tears repaired. Blue cloth boards with bright gilt lettering on spine. Edges relatively square. Bottom right front corner and top left rear corner bumped. Head of spine bumped and rubbed. Ex-Library copy with expected markings (stamp on pastedown fep, evidence of removed call number sticker on DJ). Previous owner inscription and pencil pricing on ffep. Pages clean and unmarked with age-tanning. Binding is tight. This is a very nicely maintained copy with a well-preserved DJ of John Burnet’s expansive discussion of Greek philosophy. History
