Hartford, CT: Hurlbut, Scranton & Company, 1864. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Two Volume Set. 9 1/2" tall hardcover (hard leather) books. Boards in Poor condition. Parts of spine missing on Vol. I. All of outer layer of spine missing on Vol. II. Rubbing, chipping and general wear to boards. Boards are loose (but attached) on both volumes. These books need to be Rebound. Foxing and a bit of age toning to pages. Vol. II with heavier foxing to pages. While the books need to be rebound, the pages are tight. Pages are clean/unmarked but showing age. Vol. I is 506+ pages. Vol II is 702 pages. Vol. II published in 1866. "With Numerous Fine Steel Engravings" Both books are showing age and wear. But they are readable as is.
