The insides are good with no major defects or detractions. Book is without marks or writings, pages are clean, size: 9 ½ x 11 ½ (approximately) pages: 408 pages. Frontispiece w/ labeled tissue guard, decorated title page, high grade quality paper of sturdy stock, profusely & wonderfully illustrated throughout, w/wood engravings, photogravures, typogravures & pen & pencil sketches, by numerus artists' with captioned tissue guards. Charles francis horne (born january 12, 1870 in jersey city, new jersey - died september 13, 1942 in annapolis, maryland) was an american author of books. He wrote or edited more than one hundred books, mostly multi-volume history works. He was a professor of english at city college of new york
