Hardcover Book in Very Good Condition. No jacket. This story about four generations of a Seattle family was first published by Doubleday in 1945. A story about Seattle, its people, scenery, spirit, politics, past, future--from village to skyscraper city--1851-1941. Binding of navy cloth with light blue imprinted Fornum Book insignia on front and pale blue titles, with design, on the spine. Clean and unmarked, edges and spine ends lightly rubbed. Binding really in quite nice condition--1946 book. Rough cut on fore edge and lower edge. Prev owner name on front endpaper. Pages clean and unmarked; page 53 has a small tear on the fore edge with crease down from it; page 241 has a small piece out of the lower corner. Pages are browning--wartime condition paper. 254 pages. 5.75 x 8.3 inches. The World Publishing Company, Cleveland and New York, 1946.
