Containing, in particular, a Reply to the Objections and Arguings of Dr. John Taylor, in his Book, Intitled, "The Scripture-Doctrine of Original Sin proposed to free and candid Examination, &c." Boston printed, London re-printed, for J. Johnson and G. Keith, 1766. First British edition. xxiii + [1] + 470 pp. + 2 pp. publisher's ads. 8vo., gilt ruled calf with raised bands, gilt red leather spine label. Front board detached, rear joint cracked. Light staining to boards. Spine and edges worn. Ink ownership to front pastedown, dated 1782. Front flyleaf with another's ink ownership. Light foxing and a few dog-eared corners in the text.
