This copy comes from the personal library of Marcus Crahan, noted collector of food and beverage books, with his bookplate affixed at the front.

The contents are as follows: Introductory; Growing from Seed; Propagating by Single Buds; Cuttings of Unripe Wood; Propagating Houses; Cuttings in Open Air; Layering the Vine; Grafting the Grape; Hybridizing and Crossing; Transplanting; Soil and Situation; Stem Appendages; Planting the Vine; Grape Trellises; Time to Prune, and Pruning and Training; Garden Culture; Miscellaneous; Insects and Disease; Description of Varieties; Review of Various Systems of Training.

Condition:
Clean covers and spine. There is a 3" x 1" strip at the top-left corner of the back cover where the cloth has faded a bit. Small cloth tear at the top of the spine. Tiny cloth tear at the outer front cover corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. Occasional mild foxing to the pages. The bookplate of Marcus Crahan, noted collector of food and drink books, is affixed to the front pastedown. Overall the book is in Very Good- condition.
