White cloth boards with red stamped illustration on front and back cover, red cloth spine with white title plate and black lettering, top edge gilt, 10 preliminary leaves, [3]-147, [146] pages, 1 leaf color frontispiece, plates, 2 maps (1 color and folded). Issued in red slipcase with offwhite title block on side with black lettering. "This book has been designed and printed by the printing house of William Edwin Rudge. Colored map by George Annand. Typography by Melvin Loos. The text is set in Caslon old style and printed on Huntington laid paper. The illustrations are reproduced by the aquatone process. Of an edition of 501 copies this is number 15." - colophon Foreword by William V.C. Ruxton and a note by E.A.C. Topham.
