Octavo, x, 278pp. White hardcover, black cloth spine, title in silver on spine. Full number line listed on copyright page. Solid text block, faint dust remnants along top edge, a near fine example. In the publisher's dust jacket, $19.95 retail price on front flap, light shelf wear, a near fine example. Signed by the author on the front free endpaper: "For Dick Lugar - who understands the foreign policy implication of all this! Zbig." Richard Lugar (1932-2019) was a lifelong politician, serving as a US Senator from Indiana from 1977 to 2013. During his time in Washington, Lugar was Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee. Prior to this, Lugar was the 44th Mayor of Indianapolis, in office from 1968-1976. Lugar's legacy lives on through The Lugar Center, a nonprofit public policy institution he established in 2013 to continue advocating for global issues he focused on while in office.
