Endhseets toned from binder's glue; lower edge of front board sunstruck, otherwise very near fine in a soiled dust jacket, sunned on the spine and with a couple of small chips.. 8vo, 221pp; blue cloth. The author's first book, inscribed by Komroff to a well-known Tin Pan Alley pianist and songwriter: "For Ted Shapiro, [musical notes] from the author, Manuel Komroff, New York, 1927." Komroff was a polymath: a journalist, playwright, fiction writer, and editor. He was the longtime production manager for Boni & Liveright. The rear panel of the dust jacket is devoted to the publisher's promotion of Ernest Hemingway's In Our Time.
