San Diego: Goodbye to All That, 1970-1972. First Edition. Incomplete but still significant run of this San Diegio county feminist paper. Mission statement from issue no. 1: "GTAT will be published by women working together in a truly collective way--no editors, hierarchy or big-wig 'non-leaders.' Although we realize that our radical perspective is not at this time representative of the whole movement, we are open to ALL San Diego women who are interested in change." The paper, which would later be dubbed by founding member Robin Morgan as "The Women's Rat" (see Morgan's Going Too Far), provided news articles on the Women's Liberation movement, the Panthers, and the Vietnam War, as well as editorials, poetry, artwork, and a calendar of local events. 22 issues in tabloid format (45cm.) with publication sequence running as follows: nos. 1-[4], 6 (1970), 7-9, 12-14, 16-17, 19-21 (1971), 22-27 (1972). All issues with horizontal fold at center as issued; minor toning throughout, else Near Fine. Issues 1-17 printed in half tone on newsprint, 19-27 printed in color on higher quality paper. Issue designated "no. 4" by us appears to be an undated and unnumbered Halloween issue, with special emphasis on the WITCH (Women's International Terrorist Conspiracy from Hell) movement.
