About This Item

Hanover, NH: Ray Nash, 1942., 1942.. Very good. - A 9-1/2 inch high by 6-1/4 inch wide broadside printed in red and black on cream stock. The first line of the title is printed in red along the top with the next few lines of the title and the text of Rastell's morality fragment printed in black with a red star centered at the bottom. The broadside is housed in its original cream mailing envelope addressed to "E. H. Hugo, Esq c/o Meriden Gravure Co. Meriden, Connt." It was posted on December 22, 1942 from Hanover, NH. The corners are faintly bumped and there is offsetting to the verso of the broadside. Very good.

A RARE Christmas greeting created by American graphic arts historian Ray Nash reproducing a William Rastell fragment housed at Dartmouth. A wonderful association copy as it was sent to the printer E. Harold Hugo of The Meriden Gravure Company.
