The first edition of 1900 by Henry William Cave, a British author, photographer, publisher, and archaeologist. This guide of Ceylon and its tea industry was based off the numerous travels of the author to the country, on which he wrote numerous other titles. This guide to Ceylon's tea plantations is illustrated in text with numerous photographs by the author and a full page map of Ceylon. Collated, complete.In an extremely charming original publisher's full cloth binding adorned with intricate gilt tooling to the boards and spine. In the original publisher's full cloth binding with gilt decorations to the boards and spine and gilt to the edges. Externally excellent with only minor shelf wear and a minor bumping to the head of the spine. Lacking the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated in text with numerous photographs by the author and a full page map of Ceylon. Collated, complete. Near Fine
