About This Item
London: Harper and Brothers, 1903. Ex library copy re-bound in heavy-duty brown boards with black fleur-de-lys design on front and gilt titles on spine. Library paper label inside front board, ink stamps on title page, some grubbiness to the outer pages, otherwise a good tight copy. An early novel by the author, who is probably best-remembered for his stories set in Dartmoor. This is set much further afield, being a tale of the hunt for hidden diamonds in central Africa. "Fetich" is more usually spelled "Fetish". 362pp.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Ex-Library.
