London: Bodley Head. Near Fine in Good dust jacket. 1950. First Edition. Hardcover. 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Brown cloth. Book about fine but for lightly foxed endpapers. DJ slightly faded, short tear along lower front fold, old tape stains at blank lower edge of spine panel and show a bit at lower rear cover panel. 2nd easily sealed trear above that. 1st British edition. On-going chrinicle of Morgana Mississippi .

Synopsis

Eudora Welty has created a collection of short stories that follow multiple families of the fictional town of Morgana, Mississippi.  Much of the flow of this collection has been based on Greek mythology.
