Title features full spread of a skull spiked to tree. Dynamic red patterned endpapers with four scarabs. String-bind good; hinges intact. Richly illustrated with full-page designs throughout by P. W. Shroyer throughout. Also several vignettes. Charming illustations are in a rich chiaroscuro-like motif.
