New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1981. Hardcover. First Edition, First Printing. 5.5 x 8.75in. 411pp. Publisher's quarter cloth over paper-covered boards. Signed and briefly inscribed by the author on the title page. Includes the Kroch and Brentano's notice advertising Herbert's signing at their Chicago location. NEAR FINE in Very Good dust jacket protected in a removable archival cover. The book itself shows the slightest shelf rubbing of the bottom edge, light offset browning of the title and opposing page from the laid in signing advertisement, otherwise remains Fine/As New. The dust jacket shows the slightest hint of shelf rubbing, spine ever so slightly misaligned, a barely perceptible spot of discoloration at the spine, otherwise is not price or date clipped remaining bright, colorful, and distinct. As pictured.
