Cover design by A. R. with three panels of imagery depicting goblin and chicken atop, elves, a fruit bowl and pumpkin, and stylized titles, in hues of maroon, gold, and black. Very clean. Deckled leaves generally very good, clean; few with moderate fox, discoloration near bind area. Frontispiece colour plate with caption: "She clipped a precious golden lock." Monochromatic golden patterned endpapers inside front and back covers of goblins among fruit tree. Small antiquarian bookstore label in blue with red text inside cover: Young Books Inc., 714 Madison Ave. New York, Glen Cove, L. I." Partial page, ornamental and decorative imagery from Rackham throughout. String-bind, fine. Near very good rarity preserved in thick clear sleeve.
