North Dakota Pan-American Exposition Commission, 1901. 62 pp, oblong (6 3/16" H x 9" D). Engraved and printed by Gies & Co., Buffalo, NY. Deep purple covers with black lettering, blind stamped decoration. Profusely illustrated throughout with b&w photographs of towns, farms, harvesting, houses, churches, schools, public buildings, cattle, Fargo Fire Festival, scenery, etc. Text sections are titled: North Dakota in Brief; North Dakota Homes; Stock Interests; Coal and Clays; State Insitutions; North Dakota Schools and Churches. Interior - front free endpaper is partially detached and has a corner crease and some several soft creases; the title page and the following two pages have wrinkling/creasing at top corner - the title page also has a small archivally taped edge tear, a tiny stain in the margin and soiling at the top corner; several pages with a small corner crease; small piece missing due to insect damage at bottom of page leaf 17/18 - also slight damage on page 19; soft crease down most pages; rear free endpaper is partially detached and there is a small tear (archivally taped) and tiny chips/creases at the bottom corner. Exterior - covers are completely detached and have creases; tears and chips on spine; fading to colour at edges and corners.. Unbound. Poor.
