Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1922. First edition. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. 9" by 6". Unnamed. A collection of fascinating insights of some of the most popular authors in Literature, by Caroline Ticknor. Caroline Ticknor was an American author from Boston who wrote a variety of texts, but was best known for her biographies, especially of American authors. A first edition copy, complete with original unclipped dustwrapper. With a portrait of Caroline Ticknor to the front of the volume. In an embossed burgundy cloth binding with gilt embellishment to the boards, in an unclipped dustwrapper in an acetate protective covering. Externally, smart with just minor shelfwear. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean. Dustwrapper is generally smart, lightly rubbed in places. There are some chips and closed tears to the extremities. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
