About This Item
Signed by David Foster Wallace on title page just above his printed name, through which he's drawn a line and added a proofreader's looping "delete" symbol. The book itself is a perfect, unread copy. The dust jacket has a bit of yellowing along its upper edge when taken off book and viewed from inside, and two small, faint, squiggly impressions on its back cover that are visible in angled light--as if made by a ballpoint pen through a couple of sheets of paper, leaving behind an impression of its path but no ink. (Cover photo shows reflections on its mylar cover over jacket.)
Synopsis
Girl with Curious Hair is a collection of short stories by David Foster Wallace, first published in 1989. Though they are not related, many of the stories share the theme of society's fascination with celebrity, some using real celebrities, including Alex Trebek, David Letterman and Lyndon Johnson, as fictional characters.
