About This Item

Angus & Robertson Publishers, Sydney, 1985. First Edition. Softcover. Very Good Condition. Illustrator: James Kemsley. The text is written and illustrated by James Kemsley. Colour illustrated paperback binding with black and red coloured titles to the front panel and black and white coloured titles to the back strip. Another adventure of Ginger Meggs by James Kemsley based on the characters created by Jimmy Bancks in 1921. This particular edition was published to celebrate Australian Classic Children's Books by Australia Post, and, tucked loosely inside is a first-day envelope with the appropriate stamp, which has been cancelled using a stamp based on one of the characters of the book – at Hornsby 1985. Apart from a little age toning of the text block edges and pages there is no damage to report on either the book or the envelope – please see photograph.
