This particular edition was published to celebrate Australian Classic Children's Books by Australia Post, and, tucked loosely inside is a first-day envelope with the appropriate stamp, which has been cancelled using a stamp based on one of the characters of the book – at Hornsby 1985. Apart from a little age toning of the text block edges and pages there is no damage to report on either the book or the envelope – please see photograph.
