Foxing and dampstaining throughout. One-inch cloth missing at head of spine, corners worn, binding rubbed. Former name in pencil on front free endpaper. Albeit a defective copy, a rare juvenile with no copies online as of this posting. LCOC locates only two copies, at the University of Virginia and the New-York Historical Society Library. Contains a handful of short moral stories: The Happy Changes. Pride, and its Consequences. Passion, and its Consequences; as Exhibited in the History of Paul Pepper. Idleness, and its Consequences; as Exhibited in the History of David Drone. Charles Candid; or, The Boy who always Spoke Truth. The Lame Boy. The Cross Boy. The Stray Child. Now protected in a clear, removable archival sleeve.
